DECEMBER 2021 NEWS AND IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER

MPA December News:

Welcome Back!

We hope that everyone had a very restful Thanksgiving break!

  • Our annual Turkey Bowl was a huge success! Congratulations goes to 2nd grader, Nariah Anderson, who challenged Dr. Reynolds for the championship and won!!
  • Baby GIRL Collier has arrived and she is beautiful! Mrs. Collier and the baby are doing well and the family has appreciated everyone’s kind words of congratulations!
  • Our “12 School Days of the Holidays” begins on 12/2/21. Students may dress down as they participate in the different activities, however, please refrain from having holes in jeans or wearing any other apparel that is not school appropriate.
  • This year’s academic competition (BLITZ) theme is “Battle of the Bands.” We are currently having a small holiday tournament where each classroom is competing for the highest PI (Sprint scores) for December. Please talk with your child and encourage them to try their best for their team! The class winner will be announced on December 16th.
  • We are excited to welcome a new counseling program, A Step Beyond, to MPA. This organization will be on site to help students and families with various needs. As students are referred to the program, counselors will reach out to families to offer information and answer any questions. If you don’t hear from us and would like your child to be a part of the program, please reach out to the school office for additional information on the referral process (567) 998-7522.

  • 12-2: Santa Hats
  • 12-3: Wear your favorite antlers!
  • 12-6: Favorite hat and scarf day!
  • 12-7: Wear something that jingles!
  • 12-8: Wear your favorite candy cane or red shirt!
  • 12-9: Wear your favorite holiday socks!
  • 12-10: Wear your favorite slippers!
  • 12-13: Dress up as your favorite holiday character!
  • 12-14: K-4 wear your PJs! 5-8th wear your comfy sweats!
  • 12:15: Grinch Day… wear green!
  • 12-16: Wear something that lights up!
  • 12:17: Dress your holiday best!

*Class parties will take place on December 16th. Please be on the lookout for party details from your child’s teacher.

December 17th: Annual Holiday Sing-A-Long
*Due to Covid-19 precautions, this year’s event will be for staff and students only. We will share videos of the event on our Facebook page.

December 18th-January 2nd: Winter Break
*We hope that all of our families have a safe and happy holiday break! School will resume on January 3rd.
